Brown rice is obtained from the raw rice husking.
Through procedures of rubbing is removed the film that wraps around the outer grain. After this operation the rice is dark in color and is still wrapped in film rich in fat cell.
Brown rice is formed by approximately 90% from amylaceous substances, for 7-8% protein and the remainder from fat, crude fiber and minerals. It is recognized as a complete food, bringer of calories. From the dietary point of view, the rice is very popular for its high degree of digestibility.
By virtue of its whole brown rice requires a lengthy cooking.
it is possible to reduce the cooking time by putting it in water for a few hours.
The cooking time is 40-50 minutes.
